New Game

A different kind of wine culture

Cote of Paint is an indie wine brand, sourcing from standout vineyards currently found in Santa Barbara County.

But we’re not here to play by any rules.

From the playful mind of a BIPOC female winetrepreneur, winemaker, and self-proclaimed “blerd”, Cote of Paint blends wine with gaming culture, nostalgia, and community. From arcade nights to virtual tasting and game sessions, everything we do is about making wine feel approachable, expressive, and actually fun to be part of.

The Support Character.

Clean, crisp, and reliable. Like that one friend who always has your back in multiplayer. Perfect for victory celebrations or drowning your sorrows after a boss fight when all you had was a wooden sword and shield.

This Rosé is SO Retro.

It's classic, always in style - the capsule piece in your wine stash. Survey says: all aspects of the strawberry - fresh, wild, maybe even that little green top you forgot to pick off - brightened with blood orange zest and the crisp, refreshing snap of watermelon rind.

The Rogue.

While not quite the sand-swept chaos of Dune, Duvarita is definitely one of those vineyards where you half-expect a sandworm to breach at any moment. The terrain is soft, loose, and deceptively steep (ask Kristin for the photos of her stuck Jeep), the kind of landscape that feels like you’re walking across an open-world game where every step sinks a little more than expected.

The Tank.

Bold, structured, and ready for anything. This wine doesn't mess around – just like you when you're in the zone. Pairs well with intense gaming sessions and victory dances. We love Sangiovese in general, and the fruit from Coquelicot was just as tasty. We even did a co-ferment with a pinch of Viognier.

Behind the Game

Founded by Kristin Harris, Cote of Paint was built from a love of wine, culture, and gaming. It was created to challenge the idea of who wine is for—and who gets to feel at home in it.
